About the Company
OMA is an international architecture and urbanism practice founded in 1975. With offices in Rotterdam, New York, Hong Kong, and Australia, the practice is led by seven partners: Rem Koolhaas, Reinier de Graaf, Iyad Alsaka, Shohei Shigematsu (NY), Jason Long (NY), David Gianotten, and Chris van Duijn. Over the past five decades, OMA has produced a broad portfolio of projects, employing a team of more than 200 architects, designers, and researchers with a diverse range of experience and expertise. AMO, a research and design studio, often works in parallel with OMA’s clients, enriching architecture with intelligence drawn from a wide range of other disciplines.
About the Role
OMA’s New York Office has openings for Architectural Interns for the Summer 2026 period. As an Architecture Intern, you will contribute to various projects while receiving mentorship from experienced architecture professionals.
Qualifications
- Currently studying Architecture or a recent graduate with a non-professional degree (such as B.A. or B.S.). Applicants who hold professional Architecture degrees (B.Arch or M.Arch), including those who will complete the degree before the internship begins, are not eligible.
- Must have at least 3 years of architecture course experience;
- Strong conceptual, graphic and design talent;
- Excellent command of Rhino;
- Strong rendering skills in Enscape and/or V-ray;
- Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite;
- Excellent craft and model-making skill;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Fluency in written and spoken English;
- Proactive and flexible approach to collaboration;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus;
- Proficiency in Grasshopper is a plus;
- Candidates must feel confident working in a dynamic, international environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams during the concept design phases, further design development and project execution;
- Engage actively in team discussions and support colleagues throughout the project lifecycle;
- Contribute to projects by creating physical models, 3D models, visualizations, and graphic representations, and assist in preparing presentations;
- Use industry-standard design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit) for designing, drafting, rendering and data analysis.
What We Offer
- A gross annual pay of $43,888 [USD $3,657.33 per month].

The selected candidates will be expected to be available starting in mid-May 2026 with a duration of 3 months.
