AMO, a research and design studio, often works in parallel with OMA’s clients, enriching architecture with intelligence drawn from a wide range of other disciplines. 

About the Role

OMA’s Rotterdam office is looking for an architect with strong interest and ambition to work in the field of business development in architecture. The Business Development department works closely with design teams and office management to actively research and acquire projects worldwide.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the assessment of potential new projects.
  • Lead and maintain an overview of the preparation of RFI’s, RFQ’s RFP’s and Fee proposals.
  • Maintain a continuous overview of potential projects and efforts.
  • Assist in maintaining our CRM database.
  • Assist in proactive market research.
  • Organize, maintain, and update project information sheets, CVs, project portfolios, and presentations.
  • Prepare regular progress updates on a weekly basis or as needed.

Qualifications

  • MA/BA Degree in Architecture.
  • High proficiency in English, and ideally a second language (preferably German, Arabic or French).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in acquisition in the architecture, real estate or development field.
  • Experience in responding to RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s, and client proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on approach, self-disciplined, pro-active and confident in a fast-paced international working environment.
  • Knowledge of OMA’s work and the architectural field in general.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite with strong Illustrator and InDesign capabilities, demonstrated in a portfolio.
