OMA’s Rotterdam office is looking for a talented Junior Architect who is fluent in Dutch to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of projects from concept design through to execution. As a Junior Architect, you will collaborate closely with teams across all design phases, from drafting plans and producing renderings to building presentation models. We are looking for candidates with both creative flair and technical precision, who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and delivery of large-scale architectural projects, maintaining high standards throughout all project phases.
  • Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients to develop and refine design solutions aligned with project goals.
  • Contribute to the preparation of design presentations, technical drawings, models and construction documentation.
  • Effectively manage time to meet project deadlines, while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
  • Report to Project Leaders or Associates, while interacting with Partners on key decisions and developments.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in an architectural firm.
  • Strong conceptual, graphic, and design talent.
  • Experience in early design phases such as conceptual and schematic design.
  • Ability to do research and translate conceptual ideas into detailed, buildable designs.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, 3D Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Additional technical and computational design skills are highly valued.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
