OMA's Rotterdam office is looking for experienced Architects/ Designers to join our team. Prospective candidates should have experience in the full range of architectural design and project execution phases.
Architects/ Designers are expected to be proactive and take initiative. We value the ability to work well both independently and within diverse teams, to think critically, and to participate with enthusiasm and commitment.
In this position you will be based in OMA's Rotterdam office and will report directly to the Project Leader or Associate responsible for the projects you work on. You will also work closely with the Partners.
Requirements
- Professional degree in Architecture, Master planning or another related field
- Strong conceptual and design talent
- 5+ Years of professional experience, working in an international architecture and/ or urban design office
- Hands on knowledge of, and experience with large scale, complex architectural building projects
- Experience engaging with complex design questions on various scales, and the ability to create great architectural designs and translate these into real building projects
- Ability to develop designs as part of a design team, under the direction of Partners and Project Leaders
- Ability to produce and develop the necessary documents, drawings, models, images, schemes etc. related to the design and building process
- Ability to liaise with consultants to assess design solutions and guarantee the integrity of the final design
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Max, Rhinoceros, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Fluency in spoken and written English (any other language is an asset)
