OMA is currently looking for an intern to join our legal department on a full-time basis. As a Legal/Contracts Department Intern in OMA’s Rotterdam office, you will, under the supervision of OMA’s General Counsel, assist in the preparation and negotiation of client proposals and agreements and contracts with OMA sub-consultants; and will conduct research and provide advice on a broad range of legal, contractual, and commercial issues, as well as provide general administrative support for the department. You will become a part of the team of OMA’s lawyers and contract managers, administering contracts and resolving commercial disputes in a variety of legal systems around the world.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate or working towards a Master's degree in legal studies
  • Interest in gaining working experience in a legal or contract management environment
  • Interest in the international architecture, engineering, construction, or real estate development industry is a plus, as is interest in the areas of intellectual property and/or contract drafting or negotiation
    • Fluency in English (both verbal and written). Fluency in another language, particularly Mandarin, Arabic, or German is a plus
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

The initial internship will last six months, full time. 

As an intern, you will receive a monthly stipend. The successful candidate is expected to start in April 2023.
